Global Ports exchanges Russian terminals for Finland's ports stakes
MOSCOW, Dec 30 (PRIME) -- Russian container transport operator Global Ports has received 25% stakes in logistics park Yanino and terminal Moby Dick from France's CMA Terminals in exchange for reduction of its stake in several ports of Finland, Global Ports said in a statement on Friday.
The company signed a binding agreement on a cashless exchange of its interest in Finland's Multi Link Terminals Ltd Oy for 25% in Finland's CD Holding Oy and 25% in Ireland's Multi Link Terminals Ltd. As a result of the deal, Global Ports' stake in the ports in Finland will decrease to 50% from 75%.
The deal will allow Global Ports to consolidate control over the Russian terminals, the company said.
